it's sooooooo not as painful as its made out to be. srsly. i mean i've never had full on colouring done before, and i understand that is more painful because they have to go over the same bits over and over again, but it really just feels like a reeeeeally localised scratching. more annoying than painful, and certainly not the worst pain i've ever experienced by a long shot.
