he IS a lovely guy. i don't remember exactly what i said because DAVID TENNANT WAS THERE and my brain wasn't functioning, but it had something to do with me saying how amazing the show was, and that it was worth every second of the flight from australia, and then him saying that that was a very long way to come, and me agreeing.
