i've got to say i thoroughly enjoyed it. yes it was silly, yes it messed shamelessly with a time honoured classic, but that was kind of it's charm. to celebrate said charm. I felt the same way when I saw it.
apart from the fact that she was river song in period costume, and i love me a good dr who tie-in YES!
I think Colin Firth left some really big shoes to fill.
